Women in Agile

Updated: May 12, 2020

Equality is something I actively support especially when it comes to women in the workplace. Having worked in the IT industry for many years, I have predominantly worked with men.

I like to explore ways to have more women represented in my field. I came across the

Women in Agile organization and I was impressed. Their purpose is simple but powerful.

Women in Agile is a collective effort to recruit, network, promote, and support the work of outstanding women in the agile community through blogging, speaking at events, and building a network surrounded by people of all genders.

I encourage you to visit their site, learn more and join the community.

I knew I wanted to do something to partner up with them but I was not sure how that would look. We were able to find a mutually beneficial time to speak with Leslie Morse for their Women in Agile Podcast Series. She was an absolute pleasure and made the process feel very natural.

I invite you listen at your convenience on the Women in Agile podcast series by clicking

here. Other methods to listen will be posted at the bottom of this blog post. We talked about how I got started with Agile, my experiences as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach, and the origins of my book I published in January 2019 called Failing at Agile Transformation: How to Sabotage Your Agile Journey.

It was an amazing experience for me despite being very nervous in the beginning.
